Entitled "Working document of the Commission: Concerning the S&T content of the specific programmes implementing the Fourth Framework Programme for Community Research and Technological Development (1994-1998) and the Framework Programme for Community Research and Training for the European Energy Community (1994-19980)" the text is published under the reference number COM(93) 459 final of 6.10.1993. Adopted at the Commission meeting of 6 October 1993, the document (described in News item RCN 1821) is a result of an initiative on the part of Commission Vice-President Professor A. Ruberti with the support of Vice-President M. Bangemann. The communication seeks to accelerate the work required for the rapid, complete and coherent implementation of the Fourth Framework Programme in order to avoid any break in the continuity of the Community's RTD effort.
