Environmental impacts of urban passenger and goods mobility

An invitation to tender published by the European Commission, DG XI, calls for bids to undertake a study contract entitled "Environmental impacts caused by the mobility of passengers and goods due to the localization of administrative activities in the urban area, and analysis, on the basis of economic and social criteria, of the most cost-effective solutions to reduce negative impacts: a case study for Brussels". The aim of this study is:

- To provide assessment criteria which can be used for the definition of medium- and long-term strategies for the localization of public and private administrative activities in the agglomeration of Brussels;
- To develop practical proposals which can be implemented in the short and medium term to enhance an environmentally sustainable mobility in particular for staff of the European Commission.
