The Centre for Earth Observation (CEO) of the Joint Research Centre has published a call for proposals for a study entitled "Evaluation of the socio-economic benefits of the CEO including an identification and assessment of the benefits for the participants within the CEO programme". The purpose of the study is to provide a detailed insight into the costs and benefits of the CEO project. The study must provide an evaluation of the socio-economic benefits of the CEO, a thorough review of the nature of the benefits derived from the CEO, and an identification of areas where the CEO creates the most benefits for each of the participants. The contractor will assess the costs and benefits of using the CEO in three case-studies of existing earth observation applications.
