Research work in the field of statistics

The European Commission's Statistical Office has published an invitation to tender for the selection of organizations or individuals to undertake research work relating to various thematic domains in official statistics for scientific and technical support activities of a competitive nature.

The work is to be undertaken in the framework of the Fourth Framework Programme of RTD activities (1994-1998) (Council Decision 94/1110/EC of 26.4.1994, OJ No L 126 of 18.5.1994) and related to a specific programme adopted to be carried out for the European Community, on the one hand by means of direct action (JRC) and on the other by means of activities within the framework of a competitive approach and intended for scientific and technical support to Community policies (Council Decision 94/918/EC of 15.11.1994, OJ No L 361 of 31.12.1994).

The areas concerned relate to socio-economic research, information technologies, transport, environment, and the diffusion and valorization of research results.
