Call for expressions of interest relating to the European Technology Assessment Network (ETAN)

The European Commission, DG XII, has published a call for expressions of interest from persons and organizations interested in having their name entered on a list of potential contractors to carry out specific tasks (service contracts) related to the European Technology Assessment Network (ETAN). The call is launched within the framework of the Commission's specific research programme in the area of targeted socio-economic research (TSER).

ETAN is designed to bring together researchers and users of evaluations of science and technology policy options in Europe. The activities of ETAN will, for instance, include working group meetings, workshops, conferences and thematic studies. These activities will be supported by appropriate communication and information tools.

The Commission is intending to draw up a list of interested persons and organizations resulting from the call. Each time a specific contract is to be concluded relating to the ETAN's areas of activity (as described above), the Commission authorizing department will send the specifications to all the candidates on the list, or to some of them selected on the basis of special criteria for the contract concerned.
