The European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations (EBLIDA) has launched a new quarterly magazine, "Information Europe", covering the latest developments within the European institutions in the fields of copyright, culture, education, and information technology. The magazine also contains information on opportunities for Central and East European cooperation and a special section on newly initiated European projects and requests for European cooperation. Topics covered in the first issue include the results of the Commission's hearing on copyright management systems, the European workshop on "National deposit collections of electronic publications", Council approval of the budget for the INFO2000 programme, as well as a list of multimedia publishing studies and TACIS and PHARE contract information.
