The European Commission, DG XII, has launched a call for tenders for a study on the "Impact of the enlargement of the European Union towards the associated Central and East European countries (CEECs) on RTD - innovation and structural policies." The study aims to examine the impact of the proposed enlargement on RTD innovation and structural policies at CEEC and Union level, and to identify RTD capabilities and potential to integrate RTD-related activities in regional development conceptions. It intends to provide orientation for RTD-related assistance to reduce the socio-economic disparities and facilitate the cohesion-leading process for the internal market alignment. The contract should last 20 months from its signature.
