The European Commission, DG VII, has launched an open call to tender for the third phase in the establishment of a coordination centre for the mandatory reporting of air incidents (ECCAIRS-3). The two aims of this phase are: - Design and setting-up of the operational environment for the ECCAIRS system (European Coordination Centre for Aircraft Incident Reporting Systems); - Designing of an information system for use by national civil aviation authorities to collect information relating to aircraft incidents in compliance with the international standards in force. The contract will last for 12 months from the date of signature.
