The European Commission has awarded ECU 15.5 million for three cross-border cooperation programmes involving Sweden and Norway, funded under the INTERREG Community initiative. The programmes will provide opportunities for the two countries to work together on business and tourism development and increase training and employment opportunities. The programmes will aim to increase the use of information technologies and are expected to benefit SMEs in particular. The programmes will benefit the following regions: Värmland, Dalarna, Gothenburg, Bohus, Älvesborg and Jämtland in Sweden, and Hedmark, Østfold, Akershus, Östfold and North and South Tröndelag in Norway.
