Innovations in vocational training

The European Commission, DG XXII, has published an invitation to tender for support services relating to the observation and/or location of innovations in the field of vocational training.

The Commission is intending to set up a European observation facility for innovations in vocational training. The objective of this facility will be to promote the capitalization and transfer of innovations at European Union level. The facility will be based on existing structures at different levels.

In order to identify the conditions for setting up the facility better, the European Commission is launching an experimental scheme for observing/locating innovations. The scheme will cover the following fields:

- a) Attestation/validation/recognition of experience;
- b) New training technologies;
- c) Analysis of the requirements in terms of training skills and logic;
- d) Work organization and development of skills.

Within the framework of this experimental scheme, the Commission is seeking the provision of services, involving a network(s) of specialists, to:

- Identify cases of innovations;
- Build up finalized information on the cases identified in a Community perspective;
- Contribute to the capitalization of information;
- Propose operating methods for setting up the facility.

The tender will be divided into lots corresponding to each of the fields covered by the scheme. Tenderers may submit proposals for one or several fields. Tenders must, however, be submitted separately for each of the fields.
