A catalogue of projects supported by INTAS (the International Association for the Promotion of Cooperation with Scientists from the New Independent States) in collaboration with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), following a joint call for proposals launched in October 1995, has recently been published. Almost 150 projects are being supported. Each involves at least four participants - two Russian and two from INTAS members (EU Member States plus Norway and Switzerland). Each project receives a maximum of ECU 60,000 in funding. The projects supported fall into the following scientific fields; - Physics, astronomy and astrophysics; - Mathematics, telecommunications and information technologies; - Chemistry; - Life sciences; - Earth sciences, environment and energy; - Engineering sciences, aeronautics and space; - Economics, social and human sciences.
