Engineering support for nuclear projects

The Institute for Transuranium Elements (JRC) has published an invitation to tender for engineering support for the design, study and performance monitoring of nuclear projects.

The support shall be provided on request, at short notice, in accordance with the Institute's requirements. For information only, a non-exhaustive list of the fields covered is given below:

- Nuclear laboratories for research, preparation of experimental fuels and characterization of nuclear materials;
- Special laboratory for the treatment of highly radioactive materials (e.g. minor actinides);
- Installations for the treatment of nuclear waste.

The working language will be English or German. The support activity will require frequent contact with and meetings at the Institute for Transuranium Elements, which may be advised at short notice. The contract will run for a period of three years, with a work volume of approximately 4,000 hours/year.

This contract is subject to a restricted procedure. Interested parties should initially submit a request to participate only. Invitations to tender will be dispatched by the Commission once a selection of applicant companies has been made.
