The Commission of the European Communities, Directorate-General for Audiovisual Media, Information, Communication and Culture (DG X), intends shortly to commission a study in the field of exclusive broadcasting rights. Based chiefly on case studies and surveys of those involved in this sector in the EEC, the study will cover: The impact of exclusive rights on the structures of the audiovisual market; the interests and problems of those concerned with exclusive broadcasting rights; an analysis of practices in the field of exclusive television broadcasting rights. Interested organizations or specialists possessing the appropriate skills and able to demonstrate individual or collective experience covering the entire European Community in the audiovisual sector are invited to express interest following the procedure as set out in the Official Journal notice.
