The European Commission, DG XIII, is seeking evaluators for the "Language Engineering" sector of the Telematics Applications programme.

Evaluators should have a university degree and a minimum of five years professional expertise in the field of telematics systems and language technology applications. Evaluators will participate in two tasks: proposal evaluation and annual project reviews. At present, however, the sector is most interested in project reviewers.

The work will take place in either Luxembourg or Brussels, and may also require occasional visits to project locations. Evaluators will be contracted on a daily basis by the Commission and, as a rule, will not work for more than 30 days per annum. Evaluators must comply with conflict of interest conditions. Specifically, they must have no involvement in current Language Engineering projects and must declare any potential involvement in proposals to be submitted to the programme.
