The European Commission, DG XIII, has published an invitation to tender for a study on the ex-post evaluation of Telematics RTD projects. The purpose of the study is to assess the results of a representative sample of Telematics Applications projects carried out under the Third Framework Programme (1990-1994), as well as TIDE and BRIDGE projects. All projects funded under the Third Framework Programme have now been completed, and the results of the most successful are presently being exploited. The study should provide an appraisal of the added value of Community RTD in the relevant areas and will make recommendations on how the Commission can improve project selection strategy. The study should be completed within nine months.
