The European Commission, DG XIII, has produced a document entitled "Guidelines for the preparation of the Annual Projects Review Report" which specifies the content and structure of the "APRR - Annual Projects Review Report" which will be used in the Annual Projects Review of Euro-ISDN projects funded under the TEN-TELECOM programme.

The aim of the Annual Projects Review is to make an assessment of the work done, of the nature of the project's future work and the related implementation and deployment plan. It will lead to recommendations to the Commission services and to the project contractors on the future of the project. The 1997 review will cover the period from the commencement date of the project until 31 August 1997.

The review will be based on three elements:

- An assessment of the quality of the technical deliverables produced by the project;
- The 'Annual Project Review Report', which contains a synthesis of the work done by the project and, where appropriate, a proposal for the modification of the work programme for the forthcoming year(s);
- A 'hearing' in Brussels which will consist of a short presentation by the project coordinator and a question and answer session with a team of independent reviewers.

The criteria for the review will be based on the achievements of the projects over the review period, plans for the forthcoming period and the related validation, implementation and exploitation plans. This is reflected in the revised structure of this report.

Project coordinators should ensure that four copies of the complete APRR and its annexes reach the Commission services by 15 September 1997 at the latest.
