PHARE: Investigation and treatment of groundwater contamination, Germany

Applications are invited for inclusion in a restricted call for tenders for a project financed by the Commission of the European Communities on the surveying, investigation and treatment of groundwater contamination in the area of Radebeul-Coswig-Meissen (PHARE project No 90/058/030/001). Already documented data on the status of the groundwater and main concentrations of contamination are to be filled out in stages, with a view to developing alternative strategies for the different kinds of contamination (nitrates, chlorohydrocarbons, benzenes, chemical oxygen demand, etc.). Recommendations on immediate measures and further concrete steps should include organizational aspects, separately for both private and public sectors. Participation is open to natural and legal persons of the EC Member States and of the countries eligible for the PHARE programme (Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Albania).
