EURYDICE, the information network on education in Europe, has established a new World Wide Web site providing easy access to information on education policies at EU and national levels. The network was established in 1980 to promote the exchange of information and experience among policy-makers and, more generally, to provide information to all those involved in education in Europe. Since 1995, the network has been supported by the SOCRATES Community education programme. The network is built on two levels, with national units set up by Education Ministries and the European coordinating unit. The new Web site will facilitate access to the range of information held by EURYDICE, both for existing users and for new users. The network allows access to a range of information on Community education policies as well as on Member States' policies. In particular, the Web site provides easy access to EURYBASE, the EURYDICE database on education systems in Europe, as well as a number of EURYDICE publications.
