The European Commission, DG XVII, has published a call for expressions of interest for the establishment of a list of experts within the framework of its multiannual programme for the promotion of energy efficiency in the Community (SAVE II). These experts would assist the Commission with: - Evaluation of SAVE II proposals; - Evaluation of ongoing SAVE II actions/projects; - Evaluation of the SAVE II multiannual programme for the promotion of energy efficiency in the Community. The tasks to be performed require a knowledge of the rational use of energy and experts may apply for one or more of the following sectors: - Buildings (commercial and residential); - Transport (road, rail, maritime and air transport); - Industry; - Combined heat and power; - Education and training; - Information; - Policy; - Demand-side management (DSM) and third-party financing (TPF). The list of potential experts will remain valid until 31 December 1999, at which point its validity will be reconsidered.
