To promote the excellence at the National research and technological centres through the improvement of their research infrastructure and skills of scientific personnel; to promote research in industrial sectors and to encourage their collaborations with research centres in order to improve competitiveness and to support the development of novel products and services; to raise public awareness so that citizens may understand both the beneficial impact of science and technology as well as the limitations and possible implications of research and technological developments; to promote collaborations among research institutions and industrial organisations via long-term R&D projects aiming at the development of innovative products and services; to develop a knowledge-based society through training of young researchers in emerging fields of research.
Optimization of industrial processes including on-line monitoring and control.
Development of advanced software tools for design, simulation, optimization and control of production systems.
Development of efficient, intelligent, agile and sustainable production systems.
Safety, reliability, operational maintenance of production systems for small-, medium- and large-scale manufacturing units.
Project Types:
1. Basic Research Projects;
2. Industrial Research Projects;
3. Demonstration Projects.
Participants:
Universities, Research Organizations, SMEs, Private Companies, Public Bodies (from Greece or any other EU member state)
Budget: 600 kEuro - 3 Meuro per project.
Project Duration: 36 months.
Funding Scheme: 100% of maximum allowable costs for Basic Research Activities, 50% of maximum allowable costs for Industrial Research Projects, 35% of maximum allowable costs (45% for SMEs) for Demonstration Components.
