The ENVIS (Environmental Information System ) system helps companies to define and model their key processes and, based on the model, to collect important data on the environmental hazards of their operations. ENVIS is a core part of the company's Total Quality Environmental Management system and is therefore an integral part of the company's quality data management system. ENVIS is a user-friendly tool facilitating the modelling of the current state of a company's environmental and financial dimensions. The resulting model and associated application may be used for scenario based 'what-if' simulations. Markets include setting up a management scheme and an application development shell to construct applications for the systematic monitoring and auditing of environmental data on industrial sites. - Business advantages of the ENVIS system: - Enforcement of legal regulations Retrieval of waste output information - Better structure of environmental activities - Cost reduction - Solution is scalable and independent of existing IT; large projects not necessary - Object oriented modelling - Ability to integrate quality management system with environmental and security aspects - Identification of missing environmental data - Information retrieval/results of each organizational level concerning environmental hazards for daily operations. - Standardized documentation to meet government regulations - Results of production changes enabling better simulation Project URL : http://www.produtec.de/r&d/enviromend/default.htm
