Objective
The scope for implementation of such technologies in local municipality and housing associations dwellings is huge, but the non-technological barriers to the implementation are also huge. So, the purpose of this Altener proposal is to ensure the best and largest dissemination and implementation of the innovative technologies in renewable energies as demonstrated in the 2 main Thermie targeted 96 projects in housing sector Sunh and Shine, funded over 5 Million Euro. This is using results (techniques, design, costs, architectural integration) complemented with advice and conclusions for replications throughout Europe. The dissemination vector chosen is an inter-active CD Rom including a coloured attractive CD brochure, spreading this CD to all housing associations or municipality housing departments of all Sunh and Shine countries concerned (UK, FR, SP, N, NL, FI, DK, D, PT, SE.). The aim is to work only on renewables, included in the Sunh and Shine projects (such as transpiring collectors, solar air systems linked to dynamic insulation, largest European solar plant in housing).
Description:
The advantages of the CD Rom are that it can be available on website of all housing associations, so there is instant access to information; it's easy to use as part of all formal demonstration to tenants groups,; individual pages should be easily copied and possibly modified into new presentation. This multimedia package will be prepared in 3 languages (English, French, Spanish). The main work will be done by 6 co-contractors of which University of North London and IASA/University of Athens, collecting all detailed and complementary specific information with the collaboration of all the Sunh and Shine partners (15 in 20 projects). The work is done in 5 phases over 2 years:
Phase 1 - Collect, prepare and adapt all information for CD Rom package;
Phase 2 - Analyse information on building consumption, monitoring results;
Phase 3 - Analyse and preparation of economic information and architectural integration;
Phase 4 - Preparation of Multimedia package, translations, duplication and printing (25 000 copies);
Phase 5 - Dissemination of package + national workshops Countries concerned : UK, FR, SP, N, NL, FI, DK, D, PT, SE.
The end result of this Altener project is to organise a larger distribution to all local city housing and National housing associations of the concerned countries, in parallel of the national workshops (at least one in each country). This will bring:
- transferability of knowledge of the demonstration made in renewables;
- a systematic distribution of the multi-media package to all housing associations and local authorities housing department;
- national workshops, this will be the alive transmission done by each member of the Sunh/Shine project and each expert of this proposal.
