Objectif
The IRC "Grand Est" project is composed of the two current (FP 5) IRC Centr'Est and IRC Alsace-Lorraine. The new IRC Grand Est will cover the five regions of Great Eastern France (Alsace, Bourgogne, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-Comté, Lorraine). The new IRC is thus gathering the experience of both IRCs. Furthermore, the newly proposed geographical coverage fits better with the policy of the 5 concerned Regional Authorities which have decided to work jointly in the "Grand Est" area on several economical matter s. The IRC will provide services to the local industry with an emphasis towards SMEs in order to promote and facilitate transnational transfer of technologies and knowledge, to disseminate and exploit the results of EC research by third parties, to stimula te the capacity of companies to adopt new technologies. For this purpose, the IRC will use existing tools developed by the network ranging from the "BBS" to "Automatic Matching Tool" and to the "Internal Management Tool". It will also rely on its specific services such as technology transfer events, company missions, technology marketing and technology watch. Finally the IRC will use newly developed services such as innovation stimulation workshops, technology rating and SME clustering at the transnational level.
