Objective

The main objective of this research project is to define through mathematical and physical modelling, followed by large scale industrial trials, the optimal layout of injection lance equipment. Control systems will also be developed to optimise energy efficiency, the decarburization and dephosphorization behaviour of the oxygen, and to optimise lime powder and other material injection via lances, and finally to avoid splashing and iron losses.
