Objective
The general theory of grain growth in polycrystalline materials developed by CSM and RWTH shall be extended to industrial materials under production conditions. Experiments will be performed on Armco iron, on oriented and non oriented silicon iron and on ferritic stainless steels. The model will be adapted to treat the nucleation and growth of the grain during the primary recrystallization process.
