Objective
The aim of this research is to develop methods for predicting the fatigue behaviour of spot and laser welded joints under complex loading by carrying out simple and complex fatigue loading tests on specimen subjected to loading modes comparable to those in service as well as on realistic models, in view of proposing damage initiation criteria which are applicable to constant amplitude multiaxial loading and to actual automobile components.
