Objective
The main objectives of the research are to understand, and get under control, sheet surface defects coming from Lüders' bands in finishing lines. This will guarantee the strip quality by optimised process parameters. Further, industrial procedures will be developed and validated to set the optimum temper rolling degree in such a way that plastic bending deformations induced by participating rolls and by bending caused by coiling are compensated. These procedures should finally create the possibility to set the most favourable and uniform mechanical strip properties along the total strip length and from coil to coil.
