Objective

The product development of multiphase steels as TRIP steel (transformation induced plasticity) and CP steel (complex phases) requires a detailed characterisation of the phases and a quantification of the total amount of each of the various phases. This characterisation and proportion of phases will be achieved using different techniques, such as X ray diffractrometry, optical microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy.
