Objective
The use of cold-formed sections and thin-walled structures in building construction offer opportunities for the increased use of steel. The aim of this project is to draw-up a manual on these structural components which will bring together the results of the extensive research undertaken in recent years on such aspects as stability, joining and fire resistance. The manual will be valuable in demonstrating to architects, designers, constructors, etc. the advantages offered by these sections and structures.
