Objective
Ore sintering requires large volumes of air and thus produces large quantities of fumes. These fumes contain pollutants such as dust, SO2, and NOx. Although the concentrations of these pollutants are low, the total emissions are considerable due to the large volumes produced. This demonstration project will reduce the quantities of fumes evolved per tonne of sinter and check whether the advantages demonstrated on the basis of theoretical calculations and initial research work are confirmed on an industrial scale.
