Objectif

This project is intended to develop the Terni installation, which was constructed under contract 7215-CA/402, in order to increase casting capacity and achieve stable casting conditions: 15 tonne ladle, casting time 20-60 minutes. A rolling mill capable of performing in-line thickness reduction of 15%, a coiler and additional instrumentation for casting and rolling control will also be installed. Experimentation will also be carried out into casting stainless steel with dimensions up to 700mm wide and 3mm in thickness.
