Objective

The aim of the project is to apply a new engraving technique used in press printing to the engraving of cold finishing mill and temper mill rolls in order to achieve the appropriate roughness. The anticipated benefits of this new technique compared with existing ones are the followings: better reproducibility, pattern randomness, better wear resistance and quicker setting of the rolls.
