Automotive Technologies Using Supercells

Objetivo

The objectives of the ATUS project are to exploit the OMI technology baseline in terms of supercells integration and to improve the library contents by developing specific cells for automotive applications.

ATUS aims to exploit the OMI supercell technology and standard interfaces in automotive applications. By using the SPARC microprocessor supercell from the OMI Eurocell library, it aims to examine the value of the SPARC Supercell in the four basic fields of automotive electronics, namely: engine management, transmission control, chassis control, comfort navigation and guidance systems. It will also address new fields such as copilot and co-operative driving and multimedia.

To attain this goal, the consortium includes a major equipment supplier (SAGEM), two companies developing SPARC microprocessors (PHILIPS and MATRAS MHS) and a company specialising in test equipment (I+ME).

The project will allow the partners to confirm their interest in SPARC 32-bit microcontrollers for automotive applications, define a basic library of supercells, and prepare an in-car application to validate the baseline of the project.
