Un potente strumento di software generico su cui costruire applicazioni software
Un framework software è un concetto astratto dove un software che fornisce una funzione generica può essere modificato in maniera selettiva grazie a un codice aggiuntivo scritto dall’utente. Come tale, fornisce una modalità standard per creare e distribuire applicazioni. In parole povere, è uno scheletro di software che aiuta l’utente a essere produttivo. Il progetto Klepsydra, finanziato dall’UE, sta sviluppando un framework software facile da usare e accessibile, per l’industria spaziale ma anche per la robotica, l’aerospaziale, i veicoli autonomi e l’Internet delle cose. Di fatto il progetto dovrebbe consentire al framework software di dimezzare i tempi di sviluppo e velocizzare l’elaborazione dei dati del 40 %.
Obiettivo
Klepsydra is a friendly and accessible software framework aimed at building high performance and quality space, robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles and IoT embedded applications. Klepsydra reduces development times by 50% and speeds up data processing by 40%.
Our primary market is the space industry, which is segmented globally. Space is a massive international market, with a market value of greater than €40B worldwide. The USA and EU budgets together represent a market of > €25B. By 2030 over 13,000 satellites will be launched , meaning it is an exceptionally fast-growing market. We have very close relations with ESA (as we are part of ESA Business Incubator Center) and with NASA.
With this project we will upgrade our current software framework and deploy our business model internationally. As a result of it, we expect a ROI of 6.3 after four years of commercialization.
