Objective

To relate training to diagnosis of prior attainment, individual needs and local opportunities.

Target group :
Students aged 16-25 at various qualification levels.

Activities :
Establish and develop assessment centres in participating colleges. To emphasise individualised student action plans. Training of staff concerned. To evaluate the contribution made by the assessment procedure.

Local partnership :
The local education authority, the National Council for Vocational Qualifications (NCVQ) the (national) Training Agency, local firms, 11 training colleges.
