Objective
I am a French researcher working in Lyon. My recent research focuses on the perceptual correlates of injury-induced plasticity in the auditory centres of human subjects with cochlear damage.
My interests expand to all aspects of sensory impairment/ learning disorders and auditory plasticity induced by auditory deprivation, with a focus on identification of parameters influencing auditory pathway plasticity. My research mainly used psychoacoustic measurements, and I now plan to investigate auditory plasticity further, using brain-imaging techniques such as MEG.
The Lyon University Hospital will be equipped in 2005 with a MEG device (combined with EEG), which will give me the opportunity to develop MEG experiments with the above topics in view. I would like to spend 1-year research beginning next fall at the Brain Imaging and Modeling section, NIDCD, IH, Bethesda.
During my stay, I would like to apply large-scale computational modeling to in vivo human functional imaging data from MEG-EEG and fMRI. This would allow me to pursue brain imaging and neural modeling experiments in my return institution.
