Project description
Organising the world’s wifi to boost connections
Wireless interference can result in irregular connectivity with unexpected breaks, slow network connection, slow data transfer and poor signal strength. Basically, it makes it difficult to connect and to stay connected. The EU-funded Smart-WiFi project considers radio interference issues to be the true bottleneck in the wifi infrastructure. This is why it has applied AI to organise and optimise wifi around the world. As a universal solution, it will be able to collaboratively synchronise wifi device signals to prevent neighbour interferences, maximising internet speed and quality. The project will commercialise this new user-centric, cloud-based and unlicensed spectrum management system that has been built on AI algorithms.
