Objective
OBJECTIVES
The objective of this project is to contribute to the adaptation of companies to industrial change by identifying their training requirements and anticipating qualification deficits in six European regions currently in difficulty. Action will concentrate on skills, human resources and training as vectors accompanying change and developments likely to occur within companies. Three priority areas have been selected for experiment work, namely the timber industry, the mechanical engineering industry and the energy - electrical processes - environment sector.
ACTIVITIES
The UETP of Lorraine has set up an active partnership, including technological transfer centres, for each of the targeted sectors. By developing a methodology for analysing training requirements and by conducting a series of surveys, the partners will initially identify the companies' qualification and training requirements. The aim of this is, on the one hand, to discuss the possibilities of adapting existing courses with professionals in initial training and, on the other hand, to discuss solutions concerning people already in employment with professionals in continuing training. In addition, exchanges of students and university/company staff will be organised and training seminars (technological days) arranged to contribute to the transfer of innovations to the companies.
