Objective
OBJECTIVES
The transfer of technology from universities to companies can have the major secondary effect of creating specialist spin-off companies. Although there are regional initiatives which deal with this matter, there has - to date been no global concept addressing the training of people wishing to set up a business. To remedy this deficiency, this project aims to spread the necessary knowledge to interested people, allowing them to implement a commercial idea in one complete business set-up process, and will incorporate various regional experiences which have been gained in the past.
ACTIVITIES
In the first part of the project, the various support measures implemented by different European regions to encourage the creation of new businesses will be analysed. For this purpose it will be necessary to describe and compare the various contextual conditions and subsidisation models in these regions. On this basis, the project plans to develop suitable training materials for young graduates who wish to set up a business in co-operation with their regional university or technical college.
