Objective
OBJECTIVES
Europe is currently witnessing the unprecedented ageing of its population. This worrying demographic phenomenon will lead to an increase in the demand for collective social services on the part of elderly people, and consequently, the need for people with qualifications in this area will become increasingly urgent. With the aim of preventing a deficit of qualified people, the partners of this project propose to create training programmes designed for retirement home staff who have few qualifications. For this purpose, they will focus on the new professions which will be diagnosed by a prospective study conducted by an international network specialising in monitoring the needs of elderly people.
ACTIVITIES
The partners will create an international network of sites which will monitor the needs of elderly people. This network will then launch a survey in order to identify the new professions emerging as a result of this demographic development. On the basis of the qualification requirements identified, the partners will produce training programmes designed for employees of retirement homes and young people entering the job market. The training programmes will then be tested and evaluated over a certain period before being finalised. Finally, the partners will have the corresponding certificates validated and disseminate the training programme throughout Europe.
PRODUCTS
- Creation of training programmes designed for retirement home employees with few qualifications and young people entering the job market. These training programmes will also be transferable to other types of medico-social structures.
