Objective
OBJECTIVES
Access to strategic information is a critical success factor for SMEs. It is often the case that small businesses are incapable of evaluating or formulating their own information requirements and even less so of identifying, categorising and selecting information sources. The objective of the project is to help SMEs to gain access to and manage strategic information, but also to increase their interest in the subject. The project also proposes to offer them operational tools which will enable them to evaluate their information requirements and to adjust their internal qualifications. Finally, it is intended to provide suggestions and tools to information centres to enable them to improve communication, the quality of the service they offer and their efficiency.
ACTIVITIES
A preliminary analysis of information requirements will reveal the level of interest which SMEs have in this area. The mechanisms and procedures for accessing strategic information, the ways in which strategic information is managed, and qualification requirements will then be identified. The results of this analysis will lead to the design of the planned products. Each of these products will be tested and finally proposed to target companies. In parallel, the service centres which provide strategic information will be contacted, made aware of and involved in the test phase and in the distribution of the product.
