Objective
OBJECTIVES
Having observed the precarious job situation of seasonal workers in the tourist industry, the social partners of the sector propose a common solution for both employees and employers who are faced with the problems inherent in this type of seasonal work. The solution is based on reinforcing the professional character of the activity and encouraging the geographical and intra-sectoral movement of employees and people seeking work who wish to progress by mapping out a clearly defined career path. The present project aims to develop the innovative capacities of the planners and trainers responsible for ensuring the mobility of young seasonal workers in the tourist industry.
ACTIVITIES
Each partner will set up a consortium in their own country, consisting of people responsible for employment and training, regional organisations and social partners, who will engage in dialogue with the aim of introducing a European employment and training agency for seasonal workers in tourism (Bourse Européenne Emploi Formation pour les Saisonniers du Tourisme: B.E.E.F.T.). The function of this transnational structure will be to provide support for young people throughout their professional career. An analysis of the various elements relating to the realisation of career/training paths will serve as a basis for designing training modules for the different categories of players involved in the reception and guidance of young seasonal workers.
