Learning interventions that facilitate individuals internalising a safety first approval for accident prevention

Objectif

OBJECTIVES
The EU has, over the last few years, produced numerous directives on health and safety in the workplace. However, these measures are not always easy to interpret and apply. The aim of this project is thus to improve accident prevention at work through training, to increase the quality of life of employees and increase the economic efficiency of companies. For this purpose, the partners will reflect upon and promote new attitudes towards health and safety through appropriate on-going education with an emphasis on self-management. This training will help individuals to take new knowledge and new ideas on board and thus adopt a fresh attitude towards health and safety.

ACTIVITIES
The partnership will start with an analysis of needs related to preventing accidents at work in terms of teaching methods and content. The cornerstone of the project will be the conviction that it is individuals who need to take on board specific skills to prevent accidents rather than special safety teams within each company. The partnership will therefore concentrate on teaching the workers skills which will help them to recognise and pay attention to risks, analyse risks and control risks. On the basis of the results of the analysis of requirements, modules and self-teaching tools will be developed. They will be tried out and evaluated before being finalised and distributed.
