Objective
OBJECTIVES
Trade between Latin America and the EU is continuously increasing. What's more, the demand for training by the telecommunications network is growing. The project, therefore, proposes to devise language training modules in Spanish which would be available on the Internet and for use either for distance teaching with tutor support or for self-teaching. The advantage of this type of training is that it consists of flexible modules which can be adjusted depending on the available time, is feasible for groups, even at a transnational level, or individually according to choice.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, the partners analyse existing telematic training tools. They select the most relevant of them and adapt them to language training. The tools produced in this way are assessed by each partner individually. Through a feedback system, the main comments are considered and the training modules modified accordingly. Next, the modules are tested on a target group of students and when all the modules have been used a final assessment is carried out. The finished product is accessible on the Internet, allowing for a very wide circulation.
PRODUCTS
Self-teaching or distance teaching modules with tutor support in Spanish are produced by using multimedia technologies and automatic voice recognition systems. The modules will be produced on CD-ROM, on video and from manuals and will be accessible on the Internet, which allows for extensive exchanges between learners.
