Objective
OBJECTIVES
There have always been family problems, teenagers in crisis and couples with problems but these phenomena are currently increasing in a society which has gradually allowed strong social links and feelings of solidarity to dissolve. Individuals are increasingly feeling the need for the help of a third party to solve their family problems. Hence the need for appropriate training is being felt among social workers and other professions involved, such as doctors for, example. This is why the partners of this project propose to create a family therapist training course that combines theory and practice, involves experienced local GPs and provides flexible and distance training. The partners also want to have the training validated at European level and to benefit from an exchange of practices in this field.
ACTIVITIES
The partners use the services of recognised universities and GPs to prepare the training programme and decide on criteria for assessing the skills required of a family therapist. They identify the needs and characteristics of the target groups, examine the existing training in each of the countries involved and prepare training modules. The modules are structured to allow for distance training and include an interactive dimension. The rapid changes in the social services sector are taken into account and the training provides tools to deal with them. The modules are then tested and assessed before being disseminated and validated at European level.
PRODUCTS
Creation of family therapy training modules covering from two to four years of training in an institution. These modules are intended for the employees of family therapy clinics, social workers wishing to specialise in the area, institutions that need expertise in the field and training establishments.
