Objective
The aim of this project is to develop a new type of needs-oriented curriculum for employees in the chemical and consumer goods industries on the European market. The teaching and learning material to be developed will comprise subject-related content (toxicology, laws governing dangerous substances and licensing, product analysis) and key qualifications (application of static test planning, quality management, good laboratory practice, basic marketing knowledge). Parallel to this, modules will be drawn up for the acquisition of subject-related linguistic proficiency. The objective is to establish national and European certification together with specialist institutions, industrial federations and chambers of industry and commerce.
The target groups are made up of students at polythechnics and universities, who will be offered alternating vocational education programmes, as well as employees in the chemical and consumer goods industries. The basis and concept for setting up the project are logical and consistent. Aspects such as distribution, recognition, marketing and introduction on the CVT market are dealt with in great detail. The project content is geared to the needs of industry. Producing the project content in four languages and the planned teaching of specific technical foreign language proficiency will guarantee pan-European dissemination of the material.
Impact
The acquisition of key qualifications plays an important part in this project, the varied content of which takes account of the developments taking place in this sector at European level.
