Objective
It is generally accepted that public sector companies yield very poor results and suffer as far as productivity and efficiency are concerned. Such companies therefore need to rationalise their structures and improve efficiency by investing more in human resource development. The aim of this project is to help middle and senior managers change their attitudes and adapt themselves to the new realities of public sector administration. The training needs of senior and middle public sector managers will be examined, notably in the 'soft skills' area, and a training product will subsequently be developed to address these needs.
The partners have been carefully selected, so that each one has a vested interest in contributing their expertise and experience to ensure that a real and lasting solution is found in the form of a marketable training product, which will consist of a trainer manual, a trainee manual and video/audio material. These will be produced in Greek and English.
Impact
It is expected that the project will in the long-run contribute to improvements in the efficiency of public sector companies.
