Professional management of technology education network

Objective

The objective of this project is to develop and implement an advanced educational network that can be used to support the continuing vocational development of engineers and managers across Europe.

The network will be established using up to date computing and communications technologies. A report will also be produced on the specification of the network and the learning that has taken place during its design, development and implementation. A best practice book will also be produced, detailing the organisational concepts, structures, processes and procedures that are needed to establish and operate multi-organisational learning networks. A report on "development at a distance", on lessons learned about the production of course materials will also be published. Educational outcomes will include the development of three post-graduate-level distance learning courses for European companies involved in the network. Five sets of students in different member states will have studied a module using the learning network.

Impact
By the end of the project, an educational network for distance learning based on advanced technologies will have been established in five member states.
