Objective
For training centres, policymakers and SMEs, it is very important to be able to demonstrate, by means of scientifically sound evaluation process, the effectiveness of training with regard to its quality and ability to create jobs.
The objectives of this project are to develop and implement a permanent evaluation system for testing vocational training as a function of the needs, expectations and capacities of trainees (internal effectiveness) employment and labour market (external effectiveness) and financial value (overall effectiveness). It will then draw up guidelines for the adaptation of the vocational training system on the basis of the evaluation results. The results of the project will be:
- an inventory and summary of existing instruments for evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training;
- new instruments for evaluating the internal, external and overall effectiveness of vocational training;
- new software for processing data gathered through the instruments;
- reports on the effectiveness of training of the partners;
- a final project report with guidelines for the adaptation of the vocational training.
Impact
Trainees will benefit from training that is better tailored to their needs and those of the labour market. Decision makers and the social partners will be able to modify their training policies. Training centres and companies will be able to use the tools to evaluate the effectiveness of their own training delivery.
