Objective
The background of this project consists of three developments in society and education. On the one hand, employees will have to be trained and retrained in the near future and new information technologies such as e-mail and the Internet are becoming more important. On the other hand however, learning methods have mostly remained the same.
The project aims to develop independent learning through the use of new information technologies. The partners will use e-mail and the Internet and stimulate their use by students. They will develop new joint training modules that are suitable for independent learning in the areas of business studies, information technology and travel/tourism studies. They will also develop training programmes for teachers and trainers to prepare them for their new role as instructor and facilitator. A description of the learning methods used will also be produced.
Impact
The project will reduce students' and teachers' fears of new information technologies. This will make them better prepared for learning and working in future.
